The simple idea
A useful enquiry is one you can realistically help with. More messages aren’t always better messages.
Look at what people keep misunderstanding
Maybe you paint kitchen cabinets, but people keep asking about replacing them. Maybe you repair equipment, but callers think you sell it. Or you’re getting requests from places you don’t travel to.
Those people aren’t doing anything wrong. They may be making a reasonable guess from what your page says—or what it leaves out.
Look at a few recent requests that weren’t a fit. Is the same misunderstanding showing up? That’s a better starting point than adding a long list of rules to your website.
Say what you do in customer language
“We paint your existing kitchen cabinets” is easier to picture than a broad phrase such as “complete home solutions.” Add a short explanation of what the work includes.
Where it helps, mention an important limit: “We don’t replace cabinet boxes.” Keep the tone helpful. You’re saving someone a call, not scolding them for asking.
Use real service areas. If you cover only part of Central Florida, name the places you actually serve instead of implying you can go anywhere.
Ask the questions that change your answer
A request form can ask which service the person needs and where the work would happen. If photos help you understand the job, explain what kind would be useful and provide a suitable way to send them.
Don’t make people finish a long interview just to ask a first question. Choose the few details that tell you whether a conversation makes sense.
Give uncertain visitors a way to say “I’m not sure.” They may need help understanding the service before they can choose the right answer.
Check whether the change helped
After making the page clearer, look at the next group of enquiries. Are fewer people confused about what you do? Are the first conversations easier?
Praxen Business can help you make your service pages and request forms clearer. Bring a few examples of the questions you keep getting. They often point straight to the wording that needs work.
