The simple idea

Help people share your business without making them do the explaining for you.

What does your customer send to a friend?

Someone likes your work and wants to recommend you. Do they send your phone number? Your social page? A screenshot of an old post?

Any of those might start a conversation. But a clear page can give the friend more useful information: what you do, where you work, and how to ask for help.

Try imagining that the person knows nothing about your business. Would the link your customer shares make sense on its own?

Keep the invitation natural

After a customer says they’re pleased, you might say: “Thank you. If you know someone who needs this kind of help, you’re welcome to pass along our page.”

That’s enough. You don’t need to turn every thank-you into a sales pitch.

Let the friend choose whether to contact you. Asking customers to hand over other people’s phone numbers can put everyone in an awkward position.

Remember the introduction when they call

A simple “How did you hear about us?” can help you understand which introductions lead to conversations. Record the answer if the person wants to share it.

You can thank the person who recommended you without sharing private details about their friend’s request.

Praxen Business can help make your service pages easy to share and your incoming requests easier to keep track of. The personal recommendation still comes from your customer. The website should simply make the next step easier.
